Did you know that 35 years ago, le Marché de l’Ouest’s bagel shop was the first one to open in the West Island? The bagel shop, known as Hansel and Bagel since the mid-1990s, offers 15 different varieties of bagels. You’ll certainly have a hard time making a selection! Offering the traditional array of bagels from poppy to sesame seed to new creations such as all dressed bagel, the choices are endless! Three years ago, the express counter was bought by some dedicated clients, Francine Auclair and Franco Di Clemente. They now manage the shop with the help of their daughters that come and help during the weekends. « I treat my clients like my friends » states Francine Auclair.
